Backbox Flourescent Lighting:
FS-2 Fluorescent Starter: $2.49 ea
Part # FS2
New starter for flourescent lighting as used in most video games, newer pinball games, and some pinballs from the 1980's. If your flourescent tube won't light, or just sits and flickers, you may very well need a new starter! Grab a couple for spares! This standard FS-2 starter plugs right in and will start 14, 15, and 20 watt lamps in 15", 18" and 24" lengths. Replaces Bally # E-411-7 and others.
Flourescent Lamp Ballast: $8.99 ea
Part # BALLAST24
Ballast for flourescent lamp power. Runs 12-22 watt flourescent lamp, 18- to 24-inches long, as used in later-model Sega and Stern Pinball games. Also works with most lamps used in video game marquees and smaller lamps used in older Bally/Midway pinball games including Eight Ball Deluxe L.E., Mr. & Mrs. Pac-Man, Rapid Fire. Replaces Bally # E-409-1A and others.

If your flourescent lamp isn't lighting, or if your game keeps burning up lamps and starters, you may need a new ballast!

Backbox Mounting Hardware:
Backbox Hinge Carriage Bolt: $1.65 ea
Part # 4322-01139-12B
Short black carriage bolt used to secure backbox hinge from outside on main cabinet side on Bally and Williams games from approx. 1988-1999. Original factory part- correct fit. Used with sleeve nut # 02-4352 (below).
Backbox Hinge Sleeve Nut: $4.49 ea

Backbox Hinge Bolt Backing Plate: $5.63 ea
Part # 01-9012
Two used per game. This plate sits in the backbox and the 3 bolts from the top part of each backbox hinge come up through it, and secure with nuts on top of this plate. Helps reinforce hinges and backbox structure.

Backbox (Head) Bolts:

Brand new replacement bolts for backbox mounting on most all makes and models. Several sizes and lengths to choose from, based on the type your game may use. Most are standard 3/8" x 16 bolt size, unless otherwise noted. Use with washers below.

Got a stripped or stuck bolt? You probably need new t-nuts that go under the bolts (mounting in the main cabinet). See below for new t-nuts!

Not sure what length you need? Measure the depth of the "neck" on your game (base panel inside the "neck" section on top/back of main cabinet)- from the bottom to the top of the "neck" (where backbox sits). Add 2 inches- that is your required bolt length.

Bolt length is length of the bolt below the head (ie: below the head to the tip of the bolt).

Bolt Sizes:
Measurements in table at right are in inches. Bolts sizes are given in diameter, number of threads per inch, and length. Example:

(Diameter) - (# Threads/inch) x (Length)

Backbox Latch Plate: $1.19 ea.
Part# 01-8397-1
Replacement latch plate for backbox as used on many makes/models of pinball games. This is a generic aftermarket part that can be used to replace original latch plates on most games, but may require repositioning/remounting depending on screw hole positions of old part vs. new part. Locks & Keys:

Game Locks With Keys:
Single- and double-bitted barrel locks for use on most games- pinball, video, etc. Keep that game locked and unwanted hands and fingers out! Most pinball repairs we do are caused by problems located within elbow's reach of the front door- wires pulled out, coin switches messed up, short-circuits, ball switches pulled apart, etc. Avoid damage or injury by keeping your game locked and safe!

Will fit all standard pinball machines and most video games and other equipment. Locks include TWO keys. Easy to install- requires only a wrench and phillips-head screwdriver.

NOTES:
Barrel Length: This is the length of the threaded portion of the lock. Most coin doors use 7/8" locks. Backboxes on older Bally and Stern solid-state games will use 1-1/8" locks. Williams solid-state backboxes use 7/8" locks. Click for 7/8" lock diagram. E-mail us with name of your game if you need help selecting a lock.
Single- or Double-Bitted: Single-bitted locks use keys with 'bumps' on 1 side only. Double-bitted locks have 2-sided keys.
Keyed-Alike: Locks in the same barrel length are keyed-alike, so you can use same key with multiple locks that are the same length. Locks that are different lengths will not use the same key (ie: 7/8" locks are keyed differently than 1-1/8" locks).

MEASUREMENTS: We get a lot of requests about this part from people making custom (non-pinball) projects, so here are some measurements of this unit that may help you with your project, or confirm fit on your actual pinball game:

Overall length of unit is 8-3/4". From the back of the metal housing to the front of the rubber ball shooter tip measures 6-1/2". From the back of the housing to the front of the black plastic knob on the front measures 2-3/8". The housing measures 2-13/16" tall and 2-3/8" wide. For mounting, you'll need a triangular-shaped mounting hole of 1-7/8" width at the top, and 1-7/8" height. A minimum thickness of 3/4" is required for the mounting material (wood cabinet or other material you are mounting it to). A plate that installs on the back of the housing holds the unit in place once mounted.
