Game Description:
Dig Dug is a vintage arcade classic video game from legendary game manufacturer, Atari, and was produced in the early 1980's at the height of pinball and video game arcade popularity. Dig Dug was one of Atari's most successful and popular video games, and still remains popular among collectors and enthusiasts today.
In this game, you are "Dig Dug". Dig Dug digs underground tunnels and uses an air pump to inflate and blow-up his enemies. Rocks can be strategically dropped on top of enemies for a quick kill and big points! Drop two rocks and a bonus vegetable or fruit will appear in the center of the screen for bonus points. Complete each level when all the enemies have been destroyed. How many levels can you complete?
This game has an amusing cast of characters- the two enemies are "Pooka" and "Fygar". Pookas are animated red monsters with yellow goggles and Fygars are green fire-breathing dragons. Try to stay away from the Pookas and Fygars while you dig your way through each level. Strategically try to drop rocks on your enemies, or pump them with your air gun to pop them. The last remaining enemy will try to escape above ground, so be quick in order to get them all!
Game Condition Details:
This game is in overall outstanding condition for a classic 1980's vintage game. It has seen below-average use, good upkeep, and it definitely shows! With the limited use this game has had during its lifetime, and the good care it's had, it has really had it's original condition preserved well- inside and out.
This game has had a brand new monitor installed ($350 value) so the picture is clear, sharp, crisp, and colorful, and should last for years and years to come!
Control panel is in excellent condition, and is original. Only a few very tiny nicks or blemishes from below-average use are present on the control panel. All controls (buttons and joystick) are original and have been thoroughly overhauled, cleaned, and adjusted for like-new look and performance.
Monitor and marquee glass on the game are both in excellent condition- still look just like new.
Game cabinet is in excellent condition with only a few tiny nicks and scratches picked up from over the years, many of which have been lightly touched-up for a more fresh overall appearance. This game has also had brand new t-molding installed around both edges of the game, for a fresh "day one" new look.
New game levelers have been installed on the bottom of the game as well, for easy moving, and game levelling. No rusted, broken, or missing levelers on this game!
Interior of game has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out (see pictures below) and looks just like new again.
Minor Issues Related to This Original Game:
Aside from the newly-installed monitor (TV picture tube) this game is essentially original inside and out, and approximately 25 years old at this point (made in 1982). While this game is older and while most older used vintage arcade games do periodically have some minor operational issues, we have not experienced any problems with this game in the time that we have owned and operated it. However, interested buyers should be aware that as with any older used vintage arcade game, some minor operational problems may come up periodically and should be considered an inherent part of owning and operating an older used game such as this one. Interested buyers are asked to carefully consider the responsibility of owning an using an older vintage game like this, and that periodic problems or maintenance are an essential part to operating a game like this as time continues on.

Warranty on This DigDug Game: Due to the older age and originality of this game, we are only offering a limited warranty to local customers only. Warranty details are as follows:
- Local Customers: 30-day warranty covering operation of game monitor (TV picture tube), power supply, main PCB board, and joystick/button controls. No other items or aspects are covered under this warranty.
- Out-of-Town Customers: No warranty will be provided on this game, due to it's age and since we cannot be there in person to service the game for you. This is one of the limitations to buying an older original vintage arcade game such as this from an out-of-town source, and out-of-town customers are asked to carefully consider the risks and responsibilities of buying and owning and older game like this, and that periodic problems related to originality and old-age are often an inherent part of owning and using an older game such as this. For out-of-town customers, we recommend locating a repair person or company in your local area before you commit to buying any game from an out-of-town source, just so you have someone who can service the game in the event that it ever does need any in-person service. It's just good common sense.
Our warranty does not cover costs of any other service persons or shops other than our own. This warranty on this game is the only warranty it comes with, and supercedes any other warranty we offer.
As with any older vintage used arcade game, we ask any interested customers carefully consider the responsibilities of owning an older, used game such as this, and understanding that some minor operational problems may occasionally occur with older equipment such as this, due to older age. As always, we recommend having a game repair person or company in your area who you can call if the game needs any service "in-person", so please consider service and maintenance before committing to your purchase.
