Donkey Kong is a vintage arcade classic video game from legendary game manufacturer, Nintendo, and was produced in the early 1980's at the height of pinball and video game arcade popularity. Donkey Kong was one of Nintendo's most successful and popular video games, and still remains popular among collectors and enthusiasts today. It was the original game that introduced the "Mario" character, who has been the star of so many popular sequels and take-offs that spawned from this game in recent years, including "Mario Brothers", "Mario World", and many other Donkey Kong take-offs.

In this game, you are "Mario" the workman. You must climb girders and ladders to get to the top of the structure in each "screen" or "level" to rescue the lady from the ape- "Donkey Kong". Donkey Kong rolls and throws barrels down, which you must avoid. Other obstacles like fireballs, moving conveyor belts, and elevators test your navigation skills. Jump from ledge to ledge and over barrels, and grab the elusive sledge hammer to smash rolling barrels and fireballs for extra points.

Game Condition Details:

This game is in overall very good condition for a classic 1980's vintage game. It features the original 13-inch color monitor which still has a bright, colorful, crisp picture. Control panels are original with original artwork plates still intact on them and in excellent shape. The glass on the top of the table has been replaced with a brand new custom-made sheet of tempered safety glass for good looks, protection, and to get rid of ugly scratches and scuffs that accumulate over the years.

This game has not had a full overhaul or restoration done on it and is effectively being sold "as-is" with no warranty. It has been fully tested and inspected for proper operation and leaves our shop in full working order as described here and as seen in the pictures below.

A few nicks and scratches are present on the cabinet and legs of this game. A discriminating video game collector may choose to have some further cleaning and detailing done to this game to make it a part of a prized collection or game lineup. In the condition that the game is presented and sold, it is in super shape for any game enthusiast or owner and requires no immediate work or attention.

This game has had a mini pushbutton added on the top of the 1st player control panel (through one of the mounting screw holes- can be removed and screw replaced to return to original condition). Original game manual also comes with this machine. Keys for the top panel locks and coin door lock are present and included with game.

This game comes complete with original game instruction/operation manual, and fully functional coin mechanism with all parts present and working.
