Game Description:

The Merit Megatouch games have always been some of the most popular, addicting, and best money-making games in the commercial coin-op market, featuring the best & funnest games, and the best quality machines in the market. Most every bar, pool hall, and game room in any town will have at least one of these on the counter or bar- and someone always playing it! Very addicting fun for the commercial location, or home game room or bar room.

This small game fits on nearly any countertop or bar, and has a swivel base that lets it rotate 360-degrees in any direction. Games are played by "touch"- simply touching the screen to control the game you are playing- no complicated buttons, knobs, joysticks, or other controls.

Adults will no doubt love some of the card and gambling-themed games like Solitaire, Run 21, 11-Up, and Tri-Towers.

This game also has several great games that are popular with young kids, such as Mem-O-Ree (memory "flip card" type game), and others. Also features some "adult-themed" games and versions of games which can be enabled or disabled ("family mode") via the on-screen menu which is accessible via a button inside the locked game (game ships already setup for "family mode").

Megatouch XL Platinum also features a high-resolution monitor with great colors and very detailed graphics! A big upgrade from previous Megatouch games.

There's something for everyone in this compact, easy, and fun to use gameroom piece! Most customers that we have sold Megatouch games to in past years have grown addicted to them and still play them on a regular basis- with no one wanting to sell or trade them back in! These little games grow on you and after a few plays, we think you'll see why!

This game also includes a built-in touchscreen "menu system" for operating and adjusting the game. Buttons behind the coin box unit (removed by key on right side of game) will allow access to the game's menus and adjustments. User can select which games are made available, pricing for game play, free-play/coin-play, clearing high scores, and other similar adjustments. Menus are self-explanatory, user-friendly, and simple to use.

Game also includes a calibration feature which allows the touch-screen panel to be calibrated for precise operation. And test mode to check touch screen operation and response.

Game Condition Details:

This game is in overall excellent condition. It has been lightly used, and shows only a few very minimal signs of use or wear/tear here and there. This game has been used "home use only" for the last several years by one of our local home-game-room customers, so it has been preserved very well and is still in great shape inside and out. There is no "cigarette smoke smell" or buildup of nicotene/debris as is found on most commercially-used models- this game is very clean (and clean smelling!) inside and out.

The cabinet exterior on this game is in great shape- no signs of damage or abuse present. A few minor nicks and scuffs are present here and there from normal use over the years, but nothing unsightly or obvious. Original cabinet-side decals are still present on this game and in great shape, and it includes the rare plastic "marquee" sign that screws to the top (often missing on most Megatouch games).

Monitor (picture tube) is a high-resolution unit, and original to this game. It still has crisp graphics, and bright, vibrant colors, and will no doubt continue to work and look great for many years to come. Touch-screen membrane on the front of this monitor is original and works like new- very sensitive and works just as it should in all menus and games.

Cabinet interior is clean and in good order.

This game has been upgraded to run on a CD-ROM drive. This replaces the old original hard disk drive that the game came with. Original hard drives in these games were very prone to failure, and are very expensive and difficult to replace once they fail. We've avoided this potential pitfall by installing a new CD-ROM drive with game CD, and replacing one custom chip on the circuit board inside the game so that it will run directly from the CD-ROM instead of a hard drive.

CD-ROM unit is mounted underneath the monitor assembly in this game, and access to the CD-ROM tray and disc is done through the small lockable/removable door on the lower left side of the game (see images below).

Game is complete and will work on U.S. quarters. Game can also be run on "free play" (comes set up for "free play"). Free play and coin play modes can be enabled/disabled via the game's on-screen setup menu system

While we do not provide service on used as-is video games that we sell, we can recommend a few good sources for help and parts for Megatouch games, so that the new owner has service resources should they be needed.
