Game Description:

Pac-Man is a vintage arcade classic video game from legendary game manufacturer, Midway, and was produced in 1980 at the height of pinball and video game arcade popularity. Pac-Man has stood the test of time as arguably the most popular landmark game in arcade game history, and still remains popular today among players, collectors, and enthusiasts alike.

In the game, you are "Pac-Man" and must navigate the maze to try to eat up all the dots to advance to the next level. Watch out for the four ghosts who are out to get you! Eat a flashing energizer dot to turn the ghosts blue for a short time, and gobble them up for bonus points. Levels increase in speed and difficulty as you progress.

Game Condition Details:

This game is in overall good-to-average condition for an original authentic vintage game from the 1980's. In order to keep the price on this game economical, we have not opted to do a full "over the top" restoration on this game like some other games we have done in the past, so it has been left in mostly original "cosmetic" condition, but the important things such as electronics, monitor, and controls, have all been replaced or upgraded, as these are the parts that are essential to good, reliable, trouble-free operation.

The main circuit board in this game is original and in great shape, and just had a $270 complete overhaul and upgrade by Two-Bit Score, the licensed Pac-Man professionals. The game has also had a brand new 19-inch color monitor installed in it ($350 parts/labor value) for added picture quaity and reliability, so it once again has a brand-new quality picture, with bright, colorful, crisp graphics, and will last for several more decades into the future without needing constant upkeep and repair like old worn-out monitors always do. Power supply assembly is original and in very good condition- fully working with no defects or problems.

This game also features a brand new complete joystick assembly from Happ Controls which has been installed ($90 parts/labor value) and is the correct style and fit for Pac-Man games. Original dirty worn out start buttons were replaced with newer buttons for a clean new look. Original control panel overlay (artwork) is present and in very good condition with no major defects or signs of wear- actually very well preserved for an original Pac-Man game.

A brand new NOS (new old stock) original glass was installed over the monitor ($100 value). This is the glass that covers the monitor and has the printed Pac-Man artwork on it. This glass is an original from 1980 that we got lucky and found, and is not one of the aftermarket reproductions that many consider to be of lesser quality.

The cabinet on this game is in overall fair shape, showing signs of past use and handling with wear/tear here and there- basically average for an older classic vintage game such as this one. The inside surround area of the monitor and control panel have been repainted with semi-gloss black enamel paint to restore the original look. New nylon-base levelers have been installed on the bottom of the game to allow it to be properly levelled, and these nylon-base levelers also make it easy to move the game around on carpeted floors. New light bulbs have been installed in the top of the game, behind the "marquee" (Pac-Man sign), and the metal brackets that hold the marquee in place have been repainted in original semi-gloss black enamel.

Coin door is complete and 25-cent coin mechanisms are present, along with working coin switches. A new lock with keys has been installed. Original coin box is also present and included, as is the original game operation and parts manual.
