Game Description:
Super Mario Bros. Mushroom World was produced as a "mini" pinball game, and used primarily in arcade venues as a "redemption" game (awards tickets), oriented towards younger children. The game sits only 30 inches off the ground in the front, but can be configured to sit at standard height (38 inches) for taller players. The playfield is short- measuring only about 30 inches in length. A unique novelty game, this model is rare, having only 519 units ever made.
The theme is based on the popular Nintendo™ video game "Super Mario Bros." and features the brothers- Mario and Luigi- in the "Mushroom World" where they must collect artifacts to advance to different worlds and complete their quest.
Players must shoot the raised drop targets to defeat Worlds (8 Worlds total). Shoot the Boom-Boom target to start 2-ball Multiball play. Ride the Mushroom Ramp to collect hidden secrets.
This game features standard commercial-grade Gottlieb pinball components- all full size, but in a "mini" cabinet. The game features 3 pop bumpers, a ramp, gobble holes, drop target banks, two standard size flippers, kickout holes, and 2-ball multiball play. Tickets (not included with game) can be awarded from a dispenser on the front of the game for advanced play and scores, just like in the arcade.
Game Condition Details:
This game is in overall great shape. It has been previously used and operated in a commercial location and a home gameroom, so does have some wear/tear and "mileage" on it from previous use, but all components appear healthy and working from play-testing.
Cabinet on this game is in overall very good condition. A few nicks and scrapes are present on the exterior surfaces from normal handling/use over the past years, but no major or unsightly damage is present. The legs on this game are in good shape with no unsightly rust or damage. The original red rotating light on top of the backbox is present and works, although occasionally "sticks" but frees itself after a few tries. An ambitious new owner may want to repair or replace the light if so desired, but it is strictly a cosmetic feature and doesn't affect gameplay in any way.
Coin door on this game is in good shape with no major defects or problems. A new lock with keys has been installed on it. Game is set up to be run on "free play", but can be run on coins if so desired- game came to us with no coin mechanisms installed in the door, but we have new ones available if a new owner wishes to install them and use coins to operate the game.
The ticket dispenser on the front of the game (to the right of the coin door) appears complete and in good condition. We have not tested this unit for functionality as we don't really deal in ticket-dispensing redemption games regularly, so it is sold as-is. Tickets are not included with this game, but can be purchased online from some suppliers such as Happ Controls.
Playfield is in very good condition, and has a factory-installed Mylar protective coating installed on it. There are some small spots of wear in the finish around the edges of the Mylar (non-protected areas), such as around some of the edges of the kickout holes and in the pop bumper area, but these are minimal and don't affect the overall quality of the game nor the gameplay/operation. All components have been tested and appear to be working fine with nothing in need of repair or adjustment.
Backglass/Translite: Backglass (mylar translite) on this game appears to be in excellent condition and looks great. The score display on this game is in excellent condition- very "new looking"- with fresh crisp graphics.

 | Left side of main cabinet. A few nicks and scrapes are present on this, and other exterior surfaces of the game, from normal use/handling in past years. No major damage is present, and cabinet has an overall "slightly above average" appearance to it for a game of it's age/vintage. |

 | Main cabinet front, coin door. A few nicks/scratches from normal use are present here as well. Game originally had a security hasp installed on the coin door, but this was removed by a previous owner, however the bolt holes from the hasp are still present. Coin door assembly is in good condition. Game is set up to be run on "free play", but can be run on coins if so desired- game came to us with no coin mechanisms installed in the door, but we have new ones available if a new owner wishes to install them and use coins to operate the game.
Ticket dispenser mechanism (left of coin door) is present and appears complete, however we have not tested this unit as we don't work with or service redemption/ticket games, so it is sold as-is. Tickets are not included but can be obtained from some suppliers such as Happ Controls |
This game does not include a game manual- one was not included with it when we acquired the game and we have not been able to locate one so far.
This game is being sold as-is, as seen and described here, with no warranty. See top of page for details and sale terms.
