Game Returns, Trade-Ins, and Exchanges We are always open to taking in games, especially any of those that we have restored and sold from our shop in the past. If you have a game you are interested in selling or trading-in, feel free to contact us, and we can let you know if we are interested in your game and give you some more details. We do reserve the right to refuse to accept any game for return, trade-in, or exchange, for any reason. We also reserve the right to not honor our Game Return Policy below, at our discretion. Game Trade-Ins: (or Exchanges) If you are interested in trading-in a game toward another one, contact us and we can determine a price/value that we can give you for the game, if we are interested in taking it in. We may need to see/inspect the game in person before being able to tell you if we are interested in it, or what we can give you for it on trade-in. We prefer to see games in person, as we are very "picky" about the condition of games that we restore and sell to our customers (most of our customers are very picky too!) If we can't see your game in person, we may be interested in seeing some images or pictures of it. But we generally do not buy or accept trade-in of any games "sight unseen". Trade-in price may depend upon game condition, market demand, current inventory, and other factors. We also have to consider our own investment of time, labor, and parts, into the game you may be considering trading-in, to bring it up to our "showroom" condition, so factors like this are considered when determining a trade-in price, and may or may not reflect actual current market value. If we can't give you an acceptable trade-in value for your game or are otherwise unable to take it, you may consider selling your game on your own. You can find more info on this on our "Selling Your Own Game" page. We reserve the right to not take a trade-in based on condition, market demand, pre-existing inventory, or other criteria. If you have any questions, please contact us. We do not take any games in to sell "on commission". Sorry, but we are usually too busy with maintaining and selling our own inventory. Game Returns: (or "buy-backs") We can accept returns of games purchased from our shop within 30 days of purchase, but charges (or deductions from refund of original purchase price) will apply to any game returned, depending on the particular game, if it was originally sold new or used (see below for notes), and how long it has been in the posession of the customer. Additional charges will also apply if we need to arrange to pick the game up and transport it back to our shop from the customer's location (if within our Service Area) or if the game must be shipped back to our shop from customer's location (if outside our Service Area). We do strongly recommend to customers who are shopping for a game to buy, to be sure that the game you choose is the one you really want, and that you are satisfied with all aspects and details of the game, before making your purchase. We are not in the business of supplying games on a "trial basis" so customers can try and figure out "which one is best". This decision needs to be made before the purchase. We cannot be responsible if you decide you are unhappy with the game you chose, after the sale, so please consider all details about the game you want, before making your purchase. Additional charges for game pickup, or for shipping back to our shop, will also apply. Local game delivery & setup (within our Full Service Area) is always free, but a return trip to pick up a game is not, so this service must be charged for. Special Note on "New" Games: Games that are originally purchased from our shop "brand new" can be taken back on return, but cannot be re-sold to another customer as "brand new" after such games have been owned/used by a previous customer. Games like this are "used" after being sold- regardless of condition or amount of care and use. Much like driving a brand new car off a car dealer's showroom floor- the car is no longer "brand new" and cannot be re-sold as brand new again. Returns of brand new games can be accepted, but the value of any new game is usually reduced by several hundred dollars after it has been purchased, delivered, and used- even if minimally used and still "appears" new- so such games cannot be returned for the same price they were purchased for, nor can they be re-sold for the same (new) price, since the game has been previously owned/used. We do strongly recommend to customers who are shopping for a game to buy, to be sure that the game you choose is the one you really want, and that you are satisfied with all aspects and details of the game, before making your purchase.
