Games using only two (2) front studs (such as late-model Bally/Williams pinball games) can easily use this mech by grinding/filing off the back studs, which are not used in these types of games. This chip ("U64" on the motherboard) is used to authenticate the circuit board and software in the game, and the game will not function without this "pass key" which lets it boot up and run. Very hard to find anymore and if your existing PIC chip goes bad, it can render your whole game unusable.
