Plastic gauge for setting proper vertical (up/down) adjustment on flipper shaft & crank on late-model Bally and Williams games (see additional images below). Works with other makes/models as well.
This gauge fits between the top of the flipper crank and bottom of nylon flipper bushing and acts as a spacer when tightening the flipper crank after repairing or rebuilding your flippers. Simply install the flipper bat/shaft through the bushing and into the crank, then insert the gauge around the flipper shaft - between the bushing and flipper crank (see additional images below). Then move the crank up the flipper shaft until it comes to rest against the gauge firmly, and tighten crank. Then remove gauge. You now have proper up/down play on your flipper assembly, and have eliminated the risk of flipper binding-up or prematurely wearing parts out due to improper adjustment.
