Aftermarket reproduction illuminated pushbutton assembly for cabinet front on some later-model makes and models of games.
Approx. 1-inch diameter, green background with black SUPER BALL printing (see notes below).
Includes button housing, mounting nut, lamp/switch mount, and large white microswitch with lug leads for cabinet wiring.
NOTES: Modern Style: This button assembly is a modern design that replaces old and new buttons of similar design. Features easy-to-remove lamp/switch mount- twists in/out of housing with 1/8-turn- does not require difficult pulling/pushing to remove like older design.
Aftermarket Replacement: "They don't make 'em like that anymore..." This is a reproduction button made in the aftermarket and fits/functions like originals, but has some slight cosmetic differences (see additional image below): 1) Text font is slightly different and smaller. 2) Text is slightly offset to the left from center. 3) Text is on slight clockwise angle (some slight rotation of button assembly when installing should remedy this).
Button Orientation: Ships in the orientation shown in above/main image (standard mounting). For alternate mounting (assembly rotated 90, 180, or 270 degrees), the round text plate under front green lens can be turned to any of the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o-clock positions, but requires disassembly and some tricky effort to remove lens without breaking it in order to rotate the plate (not recommended). Mount in standard orientation shown if possible.
Documentation Misprint: Some other parts sources, and Bally/Williams parts documentation, list this part number as a blank, clear-faced button, but this is incorrect. The above description and image are correct for this part.
LED Fitment: Most wedge base LEDs will not fit/work with this style pushbutton assembly as they are too wide or too tall, preventing fit, or preventing the button from pressing all the way in. You will need a standard incandescent lamp, or a short/narrow LED bulb to fit/work in pushbutton assemblies like this (we do not carry these types of LEDs).
LED Installation: For wedge base LEDs that fit this style pushbutton (see previous note), it is recommended that the wire leads on the base of the LED be bent outward slightly in order to make better contact with the terminals inside the lamp socket. Example image (click to enlarge):
