Discontinued - substitute # 2N6057 instead.
Replaces 2N6057 regulator transistor. Type 2N6059 for 5v power supply regulator circuitry. TO-3 case. Found in many electronic pinball machines (especially Williams and Data East solid state) from 1977 on up, for the 5vdc logic power supply. If you have high voltage on both sides of your regulator, or have a problem with low 5vdc power, or if your game is intermittently resetting or not starting up, you could have a bad regulator. Replace for a healthy power supply!
HINT: Don't forget to install some heat sink compound on the back of the regulator when installing, to aid in the transfer of heat away from the regulator, to maintain performance and extend component life.
