New aftermarket replacement PC board for back of drop targets in some early Williams electronic solid-state (SS) games (see game listing below).
Features 2 contact traces for scoring (points) and 2 contact traces for series circuit which tells game when all targets in bank have been knocked down.
Replaces Williams # A-7969, A-7969-A, 1B-2001-124, and 1B-2001-124-4.
This new board is a direct replacement for factory-original boards in these games. Connect your existing wiring, diodes, and hardware to this new board when installing. This board can be fitted to any drop target, in any position, in games listed below.
Installation requires moderate skills with soldering, wiring, and component handling and ID.
NOTE: The Williams drop target design that this part fits on requires regular periodic maintenance for proper operation. This means removing drop target units, disassembling, and cleaning contacts on a regular basis- anywhere from a few days/weeks, to up to 6 months at a time. This is just due to Williams' design of the system, and new replacement parts will not get around the maintenance. Williams changed the drop targets in their games shortly after this era to a more reliable design (parts not compatible between the two designs). We STRONGLY recommend using DeOxit anti-oxidant compound on the contact points on this wiper contact board to maximize reliability, and minimize the required periodic maintenance (DeOxit sold separately).
