This repair kit is for use in early Bally or Stern electronic solid-state (SS) pinball games from approx. 1977-1985 which have original high-voltage 6- or 7-digit score display units. (This kit does not work with modern aftermarket LED displays.) Kit includes 20 electronic components that will replace common-failure parts used on ONE of these original display units.
Kit includes a new 7-segment decoder IC with chip socket, 4 each of both types of transistors used on the display PC board, and 10 common resistors.
This is not a full rebuild kit- only a repair kit that includes commonly-replaced parts. Additional parts can be ordered separately if needed. One kit includes parts for ONE display unit. Order multiple kits for multiple displays, if needed.
Requires moderate-to-expert skills with electronics and circuit board work, component handling, ability to test and ID components and correct pinout of components, circuit board soldering/desoldering, and necessary tools/equipment. Installation instructions are not included.
