16 piece replacement capacitor kit for Bally Squawk & Talk sound/speech boards, as used in many Bally/Midway pinball games in the early 1980s (see game listing below).
This kit includes all of the larger electrolytic capacitors used on the board, which typically dry up internally and fail over time. Installing this kit typically clears up common old-age problems such as noise, static, squelch, hum, distortion, truncated/missing speech, missing audio, and even dead boards in some cases.
In addition to this kit, we also strongly recommend replacing the two 1K potentiometers on the board, used for sound and speech volume, as these typically fail over time as well, and contribute to static, volume problems, and audio cutting in/out intermittently.
Installation requires moderate skills with electronics and circuit board work, component ID & handling, soldering/desoldering, and necessary tools/equipment.
