Electronic Pinball Games Theory of Operation (June 1982) for Bally solid-state pinball games 1977-1985. Also includes FO-601-1 manual update/supplement.

Approx. 20 pages. In-depth overview of low-level operation of the AS-2518-17 and AS-2518-35 MPU boards used in Bally solid-state pinball games from 1977-1985. Discusses what goes on behind each of the LED flashes during game startup/self-test, game initialization, game play normal mode and CPU and display interrupts. Self-diagnostic test procedures and operation of the solenoid driver module are also covered, and includes some IC parts listing information. Great reference for any pinball owner trying his hand at low-level diagnosis and repair of MPU board issues. Reprint manual in new condition.
