72 pages. Includes information for Bally electro-mechanical (EM) games from about mid-1960 through 1977, and electronic solid-state (SS) games from 1977 through 1980.
EM game information includes parts diagrams of common electro-mechanical devices found in these games, theory-of-operation info, basic schematics (no game-specific schematics), and a description of what these mechanisms do, how they work, and how to service them.
SS game information is a small section of 9 pages at the back, and includes some theory-of-operation and troubleshooting information for the circuit boards and score display modules found in these games.
This manual is dated June 1981 and is a revised and updated version of the original Introduction to Bally Flipper Games manual that was released in the late 1970s. This updated edition includes the wealth of electro-mechanical (EM) Bally pinball technical info found in the original manual, plus the new section on the early electronic solid-state (SS) Bally games.
A must if you are just getting started with working on these games.
This manual does not include any game-specific schematics. Search our site by game name to see if we carry schematics that are specific to your game.
This manual is not a step-by-step how-to guide for repair, meaning it will not tell you how to solve specific individual problems that your game may be having. Instead, it describes how the devices in your game function, and you then use that information to do your own troubleshooting and repair.
Reprint manual in new condition.
