Dual 16-bit DAC chip which uses the I2S input format. 8 pin DIP IC (use with 8-pin chip socket). If your audio is distorted, a failed TDA1543 chip is often the cause.
Replaces Data East / Sega / Stern # 100-5018-00 used in location U26.
NOTE: Not compatible with TDA1543A, which uses a timed multiplexed input format that is not compatible with the I2S input protocol.
