Replacement rectifier for use in early Bally (1977-1980) and Stern (1977-1984) electronic solid-state (SS) pinballs. Replaces rectifiers BR1, BR2, and BR3 in these games. Replaces Bally part # 00602-0003 as used on Bally # AS-2518-18 fuse/rectifier board.
NOTES:- This is a replacement for the original obsolete VJ248 rectifier in early Bally and Stern solid-state pinball games.
- This replacement is rated 6 amps at 600 volts.
- Measures 19/32-inch square (0.593-inch, 15.06mm), 1/4-inch thick (0.260-inch, 6.61mm), with 27/64-inch lead spacing (0.425-inch, 10.80mm).
- Use heat sink compound (sold separately) for proper heat transfer from rectifier to metal chassis. Proper dissipation of heat helps extend the life of the rectifiers and other critical components in these games.
- This rectifier is thicker than original 3/16-inch thick units. If installing a new rectifier next to old ones, use a #10 flat washer on the back of the old rectifier(s), held in place with some heat sink compound, to serve as a spacer. This allows the rectifiers and board to sit parallel to the mounting plate when properly installed back in the game.
