This article provides jumper settings required in order to run standard combinations of ROM/EPROM chips on your Bally Squawk & Talk sound board. This information applies to all revisions of the Squawk & Talk board- Bally part #s AS-2518-61, AS-2518-61A, and AS-2518-61B.

The following jumper settings must be made in order to use the specified types of ROM chips on the board in locations U2, U3, U4, and U5. Note that not all games will use ROM chips at all 4 locations (some may be unused). The jumper changes aren't too complicated, as long as you are careful, patient, and comfortable working with soldering tools and circuit boards in general. If you are not, then trust the work to someone who is competent- you may thank yourself later.
