Varistor for EMI line filter box in main cabinet where power cord first connects inside the game.
Connects across input lugs on the EMI filter box and protects game electronics from excessive voltage.
For electronic models approx. 1977 and up which are operated at approx. 120vac (North American line voltage).
This metal-oxide varistor shorts itself out if the line voltage going into your game reaches or exceeds the rated value of 130 volts AC. This prevents spikes, or surges in power, from damaging valuable circuit boards and electronics.
This varistor mounts across main power line leads, inside the game- either on top of the exposed line filter box in the cabinet, or or inside power interface box in front corner of game (on later models).
Replaces original Bally part # E-713, 15G211KM, P130L10, Data East/Sega/Stern # 150-5001-00, TNR159211KM, and others.
NOTE: If you have a game that was re-imported from overseas (outside the U.S. or Canada), you will need to replace the existing 240VAC varistor (Bally # E-713-1) with this 130VAC unit for operation in North America (120 volt power). If the 240VAC unit is left in your game, there will be NO PROTECTION against power surges/spikes on a 120 volt line!
